We are an outsourced HR firm seeking a passionate HR Generalist to join our team and support our incredible network of churches, nonprofits, and mission-driven businesses. In this role, you will become a trusted advisor to visionary leaders, providing strategic HR guidance across five key facets: Compliance, Payroll & Benefits, Onboarding & Transitions, Training & Development, and Employee Management.
What You Will Do:
Partner with clients to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Manage payroll processing and administration, ensuring timely and accurate payments and deductions.
Design and implement onboarding programs to create a smooth and welcoming experience for new hires.
Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Provide ongoing support to managers on employee relations matters, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Stay up-to-date on HR trends and best practices relevant to the mission-driven sector.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Act as a liaison between clients and insurance providers for benefits administration.
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus.
Minimum 2-3 years of generalist HR experience, preferably within the nonprofit or mission-driven sectors.
Strong understanding of employment law and compliance regulations.
Experience with payroll and benefits administration.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
A passion for supporting the work of churches, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations.
